Shaoran (also spelled Syaoran) is Sakura's main rival for capturing all the Clow Cards. He is a transfer student from Hong Kong and is a distant relative of the great Clow Reed himself. At the beginning of the series, he likes Yukito (maybe because in Hong Kong he lives with his four older sisters and mother). However, as the series progresses, he finds himself blushing when Sakura says something nice about him. This is evident because at the beginning of the series, everyone is only allowed to call him Li-kun, but later he lets Sakura call him Shaoran. Also towards the end, he calls Sakura by her name instead of just "You." It turns out he was never in the run for being master of the Clow Cards because he hated Kero and the master had to get along with both guardians. He was called "kid" by Kero-chan. In the manga, Shaoran lives alone, but in the anime he lives with his relative Wei and later Meiling. In the last manga, he confesses his love to Sakura but has to go back to Hong Kong. However, a few years later, he comes back for good and he can be with Sakura forever!!
